I put this stove into a rental condo in Orange Beach, Al. We stayed in our condo for spring break and I was able to use it myself. I was very please with the smooth top. I have never used one before. The stove seems to work great!!
I have always used a gas stove, so this has required some adjustments as I have learned to use an electric range. All in all, it has been a good experience and I would recommend this range to others. I especially have enjoyed the rapid boil element. The only negative I have is that it seems difficult to keep the stove top clean, but I am sure this is true with any electric range. The self-cleaning oven works great, and it cooks very evenly.
I have enjoyed my new stove... Having a cooktop has been sort of a learning curve as far as the cleaning and care, as previously I had a coil-top. There are, however care kits that are easy to use and work well. The design is simple and clean. I have also enjoyed the built in timer/alarm and interior light. As it is still new, I have not had the need to use the self-cleaning feature. This stove is a good compromise when looking for something sleek and budget friendly.
SS Electric Range purchased in a package with SS Dishwasher and Microwave. All three match well and have been a great addition to our kitchen. Just couldn't handle a new refrigerator at this time as our existing white one is only a few years old. Possible, in the next couple of years, we'll go for the matching Whirlpool SS model.
I just love everything about my whirlpool smooth top stove its easy to use. It amazes me how my other one had been off on its baking this one does so much better I just love it all around. thanks you whirlpool
In general, very easy to use and the design is basic.

The timer and stove top displays can be a bit confusing at first, but essentially they make sense for easy use. The overall design is fairly traditional.
Preferred the features of my last Whirlpool range.

This unit replaced a 10 yr. old Whirlpool range. Only replaced because new unit was less expensive than repair cost for the computerized panel replacement. Preferred the older model over this new one. Stove top was "muted" surface that did not show every little spot like this black smooth surface does. Also, the "hot surface" on the older range alerted the user of "which" burner was hot. The new range only has "hot surface" notice. The user can only guess - which one?? Differenct size of bottom drawer. The new one is much smaller. New range feature of variable size burner is helpful, but does not get as hot as the other 3 burners.
