Simple and usable tech updates

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this stove for about a month now and I love being able to preheat the oven while out and about. I wish I could do it for the stove, too, but understand the complications that could cause. I wish there was a way to go back and adjust the oven setting without having to cancel/restart the cooking method (if doing a different method). I also wish I could control lock while the oven is running because I am a ‘clean as I go’ cook. Volume on the timer/etc could be louder. Especially over a range fan, etc.

The worst oven I ever owned

The cooktop works well but the knobs were falling off right from the start. The company sent me replacements after a service call to look at our main problem, the Touch Panel and the Oven. Whirlpool totally ignored the main problem and never contacted me. The panel is extremely sensitive and shuts off all the settings at the touch of my sleeve. When this happens you don’t know where you stand. The oven does not bake well. I have adjusted the temperature calibration but it made no difference. The bottom burner gives off too much heat while the top barely bakes. All things being equal, baking chicken legs takes 30-40 minutes more than my previous oven. Another irritant is the sound indicator to advise you that the oven temperature has been reached or your kitchen timer has ended its mandate….too short and barely audible, even when you are in the kitchen. I have contacted Whirlpool about my disappointment and sent them videos – they told me there is no problem with the stove, it’s just sensitive. Now I am stuck with a product I can’t stand. I am forced to keep a glass plate over the Touch Panel to avoid unintentionally cancelling the settings. This is the third Whirlpool product which I have purchased over the years but I guess it is the last one since for them my problem is no problem.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can’t get the over to work!!!

Replacement Whirlpool Range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This range replaces one I bought in 2015. The range works well, but there needs to be a feature where the power can be totally turned off, 120 and 220 power source. Even though the power lines in my area are underground, we still have many quick power off/power on moments. I personally believe this destroys the computer board. The extended warranty did not cover the total replacement cost as stated at the time of purchase. This range is not as attractive as the first, but it works well.

slow to preheat and bake

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] seems slow to preheat and needs to bake longer than the package directions. the top burner switches do not have enough precision. The range between high and low is very narrow. I am comparing this to my old Kenmore Range. One can not see the burner switch indicator or light or hot surface light very well as they are located on the front of the control panel instead of the top.
