Was exited to use it but turned out to be a hassle

I was exited to set this up but it’s turning out to be a nightmare. Been trying to go at this for a good hours and it’s still not set up .First I had to google the instructions, since i couldn’t find them . Turns out they are in one of the post , so ok cool . I get the instructions out of the post , no problem . Then I read there should be screws inside the post as well ...well as you see in the photo the screws are in the post , at the far end of the post , TAPED, and where there is NO OPENING !!! Been trying for the past hour to try to fish it from the bottom or Rip the bag , to no avail . I get this may be just mine. Unless I’m able to figure out how to get the screws out , I’ll be returning this .
Just to be clear i have not use this . This review is solely based on the difficulty to set up the product.

Fun for years!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The first thing you notice about the Grow to Pro basketball set is the box. As my little guy said, "WOAH"! The initial impression is a big one. It looks like a lot of fun and it seems really exciting for the little ones. My little guy was very excited to get it out of the box.
The box has a photo of two kids playing with it in a house, but in my opinion, that's a bit of a stretch. First, for safety, you should fill it with water (not in my house) or sand (which makes it impossible to move). Also, it's a basketball hoop. It's bulky. You really need a lot of space -- even if it's for a little one.
The first big issue we came across is that it is a bit difficult to put together. The directions are great -- very self explanatory. However, it is quite hard to firmly put the upright posts in place. We had to get an extra piece of wood to push down on the posts to correctly seat them. (I was even sore the next day!) I am not sure if it maybe was a defect with my particular set or if it is just that difficult so it is sturdy. One it was put together, it looks really cool. The color scheme (blue, grey and green) seems sporty and fun.
Extending it is SO EASY! the hoop and backboard slides up and is locked in place by a plastic piece that pivots from the other post. It's actually a really cool mechanism.
There are no wheels on this, so move it to the spot you would like it to stay before you fill up the bottom. It is pretty smooth on the bottom, so you can drag it on grass on on turf (maybe on decking), but I wouldn't recommend moving it on concrete. It will scrape the bottom and can damage the base.
The ball that comes with it is a perfect size for little hands. It is substantial, but still won't damage anything if you use it in the house. I know this is a bit nit-picky , but the ball is completely orange. I would have liked to have the black basketball stripes on the ball.
My 2-and-a-half year-old son likes the Go-to-Pro basketball hoop even though he hasn't quite gotten the hang of actually making a basket, so it's going to take us a while to grow to pro. Because of this, when he is playing alone, he doesn't play with it for a long period of time. He may make a basket or two, (or try) and then move on. He'll come back to it every so often. He plays with it more when his sister plays basketball with him.
This model is definitely cooler then the other elementary school basketball hoops out there. I also feel it is more substantial -- more sturdy. This will be staying outside on the back porch (with the ball in the cool little divot in the base).

Need replacement part!!

Now they want to use it but they are older and I can't find the piece that allows you to adjust the height so it's too little for them to use. I can't find the part online either. Anyone able to help??

Fun once assembled!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 3 sons and they ALL love this hoop! The only downfall is that it was quite challenging to assemble. It took 4 adults to get it together. After it was assembled it was a hit, but I questioned my sanity throughout the process. Great toy, hard to assemble.

Great learning toy for toddlers

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Grow to Pro Basketball is perfect to toddlers who are developing their muscles, improving their flexibility, fine motor skill and hand-to-eye coordination; is perfect as a therapy too since my daughter has a development delay. The first stage setting for toddlers is perfect, the hoop is big enough and the material of the ball is soft. Setting it up was easy, had a little bit a hard time putting the pole inside the hole but we worked it out and finally if you want it sturdy just add or sand as instructed. My two year old daughter loves it, I can tell she has fun by putting the ball through the hoop to get cheers from Mom and Dad.

Great hoop to grow into!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very large and sturdy basketball hoop. If you are looking for a simple hoop for your toddler this probably isn’t what you are looking for. But if you want a very well put together hoop that will grow with your child I highly recommend this one. Currently I have it set up in its shortest setting. It’s still a little to tall for my 20 month old to reach but she tries really hard to make a basket! This is going to be a great toy in our backyard for years. The only reason I am giving it 4 starts instead of 5 is that it was very difficult to put together. I used a ton of dish soap and had to use a rubber mallet to get the hoop into the peg. At least I know it will never fall out of its place?

My son loves it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was exactly 1 year and 11 months old when we received Grow to Pro. I assembled it when he was asleep and was wondering what his reaction will be - just like I expected he was overwhelmed how big/tall was the toy in front of him. My husband took the ball and threw in the net and my son's reaction was priceless he clapped and laughed and took the ball and copied his dad. That was just the beginning, he had something in mind rather than shooting the ball - to climb on it and to be in the middle of two post so it is important to fill the base with water.
Grow to Pro is a great toy because it will last a long time and is great for my very active son. He played with it every time he sees it. Either as a basketball or a place to "hide". I just had a hard time assembling it, I put a lot of liquid soap, i should have asked my husband's help :) and I hope that the net is a bit tight in the bottom so that it will hold the ball for a seconds.
All in all a great basketball toy for toddlers and young kids.

Great Product that grows with your child

I followed the instructions for assembly and I had no issues I got it completely put together in no more than 9 minutes. I love the fact that I can adjust it for my small one and adjust it for my older one, so they can both get it customized to suit their needs. They have such a blast and it makes me happy mom!!
