I bought the aer disc container when they had a sale on them about a month ago. It’s great quality as always with vitamix. I tried it once but really will probably not use it. It’s limited to what to make with it. I use the vitamix almost every day. I would need a bigger recipe book for it to get me to use it more. I guess if you muddle a lot it would be good. We don’t ever make drinks. But nice addition if you use it.
I added the Aer Disc Container to my Vita Mix as it was on a promotion. I had no idea what an awesome container it is. It will pull the juice from the slice of orange, lime, lemon, strawberry and swirl it in the drink in a tasty healthy way. Strawberry Lemonade got me started and there are so many yummy healthy other drinks including the margarita! It will never get dusty in my house :)

First, I have owned and used my vita mix for over 8 years now and use it frequently throughout the week. It is a great device for the kitchen. This review is for the Aer Disc Container only.
I am not sure it is worth the price for what use I have got out of it so far. It is well-made and functions fine, but does it do a better or different job than the original container? Some things yes. For example, if you would like a cold drink over crushed ice, this will keep the ice from blending up in the drink. Maybe during the summer months when I am making more cocktails this will become my go to gadget.
The “recipe" book was a bit disappointing with 10 recipes repeated three times in different languages. And the examples that they give are uninspiring such as whip cream. The book probably was intended to show the different ways this device could be used. I thought the original Vita mix recipe book was really well-done and useful so I was expecting the same quality.
So in summary, so far this device falls short only in that it does not do much more that I can already do in the original container. If money and space is not a priority in your life, go ahead and buy this item and maybe you will find a purpose for it.

Actually, I don't really get the unique features of the Aer, maybe it is a bit pass my culinary capabilities. I just feel like I have two separate pitchers now--one with sharp pointed blades and the other with rounds ones.

The container with blades will purée, chop, grate and grind while the Aer Disc will master whipping, muddling, foaming, and emulsifying. Liquid ingredients are pulled through small holes in the spinning disc, aerating and emulsifying them, while firmer ingredients like ice, fruit, and herbs are agitated but not puréed.
I recently received the new Aer Disc container and it is fantastic! Since I've had it, I made hot chocolate with the sugar free mini chips, I have muddled with it to make incredible fruit drinks.....I haven't used it for everything yet because I haven't had it long enough.....I am really looking forward to making those delicious fruit waters in the summer....I did make the strawberry lemonade and that was so yummy! I highly recommend this new container....I have had my Vitamix for 8 years and this was a terrific addition...it is a great concept and it works!
