I have already purchased two blenders 5300 and A2500 from Vitamix directly and Dry blender from Amazon.com . I am so happy with all the Vitamix products. But recently I purchased Aer disc container that don't work on Vitamix 5300 although it says it will work with all Vitamix machines. very disappointed . the blade does not work it only stirs . need to return/ replace

In the Aer Disc Container, liquid ingredients are pulled through small holes in the spinning disc, aerating and emulsifying them, while firmer ingredients like ice, fruit, and herbs are agitated but not puréed. The Aer Disc Container will work on your 5300. Please call 1-800-848-2649 for further assistance.

Yes, the Aer Disc Container is not intended for making the traditional smoothie. The Aer Disc Container will whip, muddle, foam and emulsify. Liquid ingredients are pulled through small holes in the spinning disc, aerating and emulsifying them, while firmer ingredients like ice, fruit, and herbs are agitated but not puréed.
