Low cost, high quality

I bought this Oral b Vitality electric toothbrush because it was the cheapest Oral b electric toothbrush on the market, and despite that it really is a great purchase in my opinion. Now somethings to consider is that this toothbrush’s only feature is a two minuet timer. It will not indicate that you are brushing too hard, it is not Bluetooth enabled, and it has no indicator light for when it is charging. It is a very basic electric toothbrush, so much so that it is one of the only Oral b’s that has not been ADA approved. Now all that said, I think it is a really great buy, it is very inexpensive while being a high quality product. It feels hefty, cleans exceptionally well, and you can’t beat the price being half that of the Oral b Pro 500 or Oral b Pro 1000. I bought this just for the extra cleaning power (I switched from a manual to this), but after the first use I noticed the stains on my teeth where significantly lighter and less noticeable. Every use after that has reduced the staining slightly more each time, I have never seen my smile so white or had my teeth feel so nice and clean with so little effort. Another thing to note is that this brush will “vibrate” or “buzz” differently than when it’s cleaning to let you know when the two minuet timer is up. Do not mistake this for the brush being faulty, it is normal. I really have no bad things to say about this brush.
The last thing I will say is that electric toothbrushes in general are not manuals by any means. You use them pretty differently, you get the best results from an electric toothbrush by using good technique. It took me several uses to get use to this change, I even had to look up a video to see how best to do it. Long story short, when switching to this from a manual brush, expect to splatter some toothpaste foam just about everywhere, use a very small amount of toothpaste (it really does not take much at all), learn to use good technique, and never apply too much pressure while brushing. All in all, if you want to get an electric toothbrush and the Oral b 1000 (which is an excellent option for those with a slightly higher budget) is out of your price range, this is likely the best option on the market for you.

A giant step above a manuel brush

This is my first electric toothbrush, with Oral-B you can't go wrong. I like it a lot, from years of manual brushing to this is like night and day, after brushing my teeth even feel different, cleaner is a better word. If I had to list one complaint it would be getting used to electric brushing opposed to manual brushing. Brushing manual is second nature like tying your shoes, imagine getting used to putting your shoes on and pushing a button as each shoe gets tied, ( it's a change ). I wish there was a video of how to use an electric toothbrush the correct way, I could be doing it all wrong, on the plus side though my teeth never felt cleaner, I'm doing something correctly.

Do not buy this toothbrush

I bought this toothbrush less than 10 days ago and it lasted 3 days. It stopped taking a charge and is now not working. I called the 800 # listed on similar reviews and was directed to a coupon page on the Oral B website. They would not replace the toothbrush.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Failing after six weeks use.

My previous Vitality still works after years of daily use. Could be eight years or more. But, it wasn't holding a charge very well and the brush speed didn't seem to be what it once was. So, I purchased a new unit in mid-September. It now won't turn on consistently. Won't turn off frequently. And it turns on or off at will during use. Totally unacceptable for a "new" product.

We do want to share with you that when you're done brushing, you’ll need to manually press the on/off switch to turn the toothbrush off, otherwise it will stay switched on. We don’t have an automatic cut-off because you might want to continue brushing to make sure you’ve got as good a clean as you’d like. After all, it’s your toothbrush to use as you wish! Great product!

Was skeptical but glad I bought it. I was surprised at how well it took off the soda staining. Drank a soda earlier and brushed that night with a lot of the coloring coming of, awesome surprise. It doesn't whitten your teeth but deep cleans enough to take off any coloring from soda you drank that day. My teeth felt really smooth as if I just left the dentist office.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This OralB Vitality Flossaction toothbrush is pretty cool. The charge lasts for approximately 20 minutes. I really like the rubbery hand grip on it. It makes it more comfortable in my hand. The timer keeps it going for 2 minutes. It's such a great feature and has made me realize how quickly I use to brush. I feel better now about how long I'm
brushing. The round brush head is something I've never used before and I love it. The brush actually fits my teeth better. When I'm brushing the bristles on the outer part of the brush naturally go in-between my teeth. I can say my mouth definitely feels cleaner using this.

Hoping it's just a brush head problem.

I replaced my old Oralb with this, because of the reasonable price. It vibrates so badly that it knocks hard against my teeth, both on the brush side and the plastic side, if I accidentally touch a tooth with it. The head even works itself loose from the base, due to vibration!!! I am going to try a different head. If that works, ok, but I shouldn't have to incur the additional expense.
