the electric wet shave- hmmmmmmmm

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using the fantastic Braun Series 3-3080 for several weeks now, Thank you Braun!!! and I am still working on the wet electric shave, I mean it almost seems unnatural using this shaver with a wet face and shaving cream, etc. I realize this is MY issue, and not something that reflects on the shaver itself, and I'm old school and you either shaved with a blade and cream or an electric. I have to keep trying but all and all this guy shaves amazing, I just still cant get my head around the electric wet shave....... Whats a guy to do?

Best Electric Shaver I've Used

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this has got to be hands down the best electric shaver I've used since I started shaving. My experience began and continued with shavers that had the three rotating heads to shave. Granted, they served their purpose, but that's not all you want from a shave. I was always curious to try one of these inline foil razors. When this opportunity came I couldn't pass it up! Braun is a trusted and dependable name in shaving. So when they sent me this new Braun series 3-3080 for free, I was elated, and looking forward to the shaving experience. I opened the box and started reading about all the features this razor had to offer and was blown away. The head locking feature was amazing, giving you the option to lock one of the heads down so that you can get into harder to reach areas was a great improvement from any other shaving system I had ever tried. The long hair trimmer was an awesome experience as well, not only did it trim but it did so in no time at all, and with no binding. I have also never had a razor that wasn't tethered to a wall outlet. Having a cordless razor is such a step up and the detailed LED display showing the status of the battery level is not only easy to read and follow, but easy to identify when the battery was fully charged. Even with all these features this razor excels in my opinion, but that's not all the amazing shaver has to offer. This razor can be used not only in the traditional dry experience but wet as well. Meaning you can shave with your favorite shaving cream, gel, or foam as well as in the shower. The Braun Series 3-3080 is an all round user friendly and highly versatile razor! That being said this is a razor that can even replace the manual razors as well as other electric ones, and still give you the same close shave, but much more flexibility for anyone's shaving experience. There is one more thing i feel I should mention, though it isn't listed on the package this is highly indicative to my personal experience and could also be for many other people as well. Every razor I have ever used has irritated my skin, I have sensitive skin so no matter what razor I used I would always get razor burn and irritation especially on my neck. With the Braun Series 3-3080, this did not happen. So in short, if you want an amazing shave and a pleasant experience, this razor is definitely for you!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Braun® Series 3-3080 is an amazing product, I had received it free from Braun! The close shave I got from it was not like any other razor I have tried. It has a chargeable stand it sits on, You can use it wet or dry to which I've use it both ways. I love the results from this razor. My beard was long so I used the trimmer part first and then I use the regular part . I'm telling you it would be a very good buy for someone looking for a razor!

really nice electric razor

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This razor does it all. You can can shave dry or with shaving cream, trim up if you want, and it is really easy on your skin. I was pretty excited to use this razor and I was not disappointed. The grips on thd side of the razor is very convenient. This razor gets the job done!

Trimming made easy!

The shaver provides around 45 minutes shaving time which for me is up to 10 days worth from a single charge. The charging time is about an hour, although, Braun recommend the first charge to be around four hours. The batteries are Lithium Ion which tend not to suffer from a memory effect and hold their charge longer. A three stage LED charge remaining indicator is provided. An LED will also remind you when the cutter cassette replacement is necessary. The on/off switch is decisive and there's a handy long hair trimmer for sideburns moustache or a beard it simply slides into position.
The shaving part is very good creating a smooth clean shave without irritation to the skin. The shaving head is formed of 3 elements and two foils and a cutter. The triple blades are nicely sprung and follow the contour of your face which may explain the ultra-smooth shave. The long hair trimmer which clicks into place is also effective at cutting stray hairs and sideburns etc.
Over all I would say this is one of the best trimmers for wet or dry I have ever used and Would like to think Buzzagent and Braun for letting me try this out for FREE!! I will be spreading the word to others to give it a try asap!

When I received the Braun® Series 3-3080 shaver I had full facial hair growth so I could put this through the ropes.
I started with a dry face, no shave gel at all.
The long hair trimmer on the back worked with no issues on clearing the initial hair off to make normal shaving easier. If wanted, this would be perfect to keep a shortened layer of facial hair without being completely bare. I had no issues with having the hair pulled or speed of the shave slowing down heavily while trimming this long hair off.
After rinsing my face it was time to test the main shaver.
The 3080 worked perfect on my cheeks and sides of my neck at clearing out the shortened hair.
With the precision mode active I had little issue with clearing mustache hair out as well.
So far so good, best shaver I have used yet.

Now for the issue I had. When it came time to shave my neck I was able to clear a heavy portion of the hair off, but had to start grinding the shaver into my neck pretty hard. This ended up with my neck getting red and irritated for a short while after finishing.
I also was unable to fully shave my neck, not sure if this is just due to how closely the hair on my neck sits against my face or not. Was hoping this shaver would finally cover my neck, but as usual it seems I will have to resort to finishing with a blade. No big issue as I usually like to top off a shave with a blade anyways. I was just hoping if I wanted to skip the blade I could without looking like I stopped shaving part way through.
For my initial shave I would give this 4/5, best shaver I have used so far thanks to the precision mode trimming, long hair trimmer, and how quickly and properly it shaver most of my face.
The only reason I couldn't give this 5 stars was due to the lack of finishing on my neck hair and having to clear the last bit with a normal blade. Once again this may just be due to how my hair grows, but I want to make aware.
I would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a new shaver or is looking to surprise someone with one as this has been the best shaver I have used so far.

Good Shaver

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think that this is a good shaver for it's price range and gives a close enough shave. It is not good however for people with very thick or wiry beards. I have a very thick beard and neck hair area and it did an ok job. I tried it with and without shaving cream and didn't feel a real difference. I think this is a good shaver for men with average or light beards.
