Great feeling and quality product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've never been the type that enjoys an electric shaver for a couple reasons: they never got close enough or they would snag my facial hair. The Braun shaver, however, cut my facial hair close and did not snag. I love that I can cut dry or wet, depending on my mood. My face felt smooth with little to no razor burn! I look forward to using it in the future, especially the trimmer function too.

Better than I though!

I love the fact that it's wet or dry so when I don't have to rush I can get a detailed shave or when I need to get to work fast it still works as good dry for a procise quick shave. Thanks again bzz agent for a awesome try at this great razer.

Not too shabby for an electric but still an electric

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Braun (Is it pronounced brown or brawn? My German teacher says brown. No matter.) sent me a Braun Series 3-3080 to review. Hmmm. I kind of wish I could give it 3.5 stars. 4 feels a little high but 3 seems too low. What is it? It's the newest wet/dry rechargeable/cordless shaver they make. Pretty simple. I tried to read the instructions and I think I did but I barely remember them. I don't think there was much to them but I did notice that if you decide to use it "wet" that means put shaving cream on your face and use it, but now you need to apply oil to the mechanism from time to time. Whoa, I didn't sign up for this. Meh. My wife also told me that somewhere in the instructions it said it'll take your skin 2-3 weeks to get used to using it. Mkay. Also, don't wash your face before you use it. My morning routine is a shambles now. I usually shave in the shower. I've a mirror on the wall and everything. Now, I'm all jacked up. Moving on. Here is a typical day using the Braun; I get up and run this thing over my face for what seems like a really long time, dry. It doesn't feel great nor am I in pain. I need to cover every part of my face multiple times from multiple directions to "get it." I have a cow-lick in my beard which I've always had problem shaving. The Braun did okay but no miracle solution here. I even used the trimmer feature and the thingy that makes one of the foils drop down so you can get under your nose better. Not bad but, overall, my face doesn't feel all that smooth or happy. I get in the shower and when I wash my face it feels so slick and smooth I nearly pass out! Well, no, but I was very surprised. The effects were temporary though. When I got out of the shower my face more or less felt like it was around 10 a.m. on a typical day shaving with a blade. One problem is without the shaving cream as a visual marker to tell me where I've shaved I don't realize I've missed some things. Today I tried using shaving gel/cream. Although it smoothed out the experience of dragging the machine across my face, I don't think it actually improved the shave.
About twenty years ago I was an electric shaver guy. I've actually owned a Braun shaver for ten-ish years. I rarely use it. It's really a travel shaver that takes AAs and I used to keep it at work just in case. It did the job. This new Braun shaver works better but that's about it. An electric will probably never replace a blade in my bathroom; takes too long and doesn't work as well. In your own home, if you're looking for super-close shaves go with a blade. The four stars are taking into account that an electric is an electric. Use it at work or camping or traveling or wherever you can't cart the whole bathroom full of stuff with you to use the blade. As far as electrics go, this is the best one I've ever used, I think.

Excellent Razor

It is awesome being waterproof because I can use it in the shower, or use it dry. It is easy to clean and the battery stays charged for a long time.

BEST ELECTRIC RAZOR I'VE USED

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was delighted to receive the Braun 3-3080 free from Braun because my old razor just wasn't cutting it anymore (literally and figuratively). I had been using a competitor's product and I could never seem to get a smooth shave. I have sensitive skin and It always seem to irritate me below the chin line. The one I had been using was a "dry" only 3 blade rotary razor. I LOVE the fact that I can use the Braun 3-3080 in the shower WITH shaving cream which works wonders on my sensitive skin. It really gives you a smooth shave. The 2 blades push in and conform to your face and you can even lock one to get a tight shave below the nose. The trimmer works great to trim the edges for those that want to keep a clean looking beard. I use it for my sideburns too. I've used a few different types of razors in my shaving career (3 blade rotary, straight, wet, dry, non-electric) and I can tell you for sure, this has been the best one so far. I wish I had this when I was in the military.. where you get yelled at for a little stubble. It has a great rubber grip and isn't at all awkward to hold. It even comes with a convenient docking station to change it and a slick looking case to travel. Very happy with it and pleased to have been chosen by Braun to try it for free.

Convenient and efficient

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was intrigued when I received this product, it was unique more than any shaving tools I've used, what I loved about it is how the distance isn't limited (cable wire). I can take it to place without an outlet and not be limited where I shave at. I also love how it feels when you're shaving, no irritation or any uncomfortability using this. It's easy to use, clean after, and maintain. It has a great battery life and durability. I would totally recommend this to anyone.

Look and Feel: Blue metallic and rubberized grip does feel good and felt under control. the integrated trimmer feels weird but does the job, it does come with a premium case. but you do have to carry the charger separately. ( I wish they come up with a sleeker charger which can go inside

not as good as i thought

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So after just around a month of use i have noticed, if i get anything other than a stubble it takes twice to 3x as long to shave and i still have to take a regular razor to clean up and make myself clean cut. If someone has time to shave everyday this is a great product, i don't have the time to do it everyday. After knowing what i know now about the shave i would still go out and buy one i have yet to find an electric product like this that can do the job as well. When i go out of town for training i will bring this with me because it is a lot easier to carry than most razors so Braun good job but please keep working on it
