nice but not close enough

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] i have a very thick beard. it seems that it does do a great job, if you don't have a thick beard. i liked how my skin felt after i used it, no knicks or redness after i shaved. no need of changing the blades either. but the only problem i had was it seemed like it took longer to shave due, to have to repeat over the same spot and making sure i get a close shave. other than that, it is a good shaver for the price and the name is great

Who need a razor?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't! I must say that I have never used a foil shaver before, but after trying this out I am amazed how close of a shave you a get. And the portability of it is just great. I had to go to Las Vegas for work and I just tossed it in my bag in its travel case, and away I went. I just absolutely love this foil shaver. Oh! And the built in trimmer is perfect for shaping and edging.

Braun has never let me down!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was recently given a Braun Series 3-3080 free from Braun for review.. Here are my thoughts.. I have used Braun foil shavers for most of my life due to the close shave and reliability of their products. The Series 3-3080 falls right into line with the rest of Braun's quality products. The things I liked most about this particular shaver was its ease of use, close shave, wet or dry option, and how easy it is to keep clean. The battery life was extremely good. I could usually get a few weeks worth of shaving out of one charge. Another great feature rarely seen in other shavers is the option of user replaceable batteries. I did try to use this shaver with shaving cream. A first for me. It works really good and there was no irritation. I recently started a new job and had to get back to daily shaving. I was using a disposable razor for a while and then this opportunity came along.. I haven't picked up a regular razor since. Before I would go a few days without shaving due to the hassle of the disposable razor and shaving cream.. Now I can zip through a shave in minutes and have that same close shave daily. I will continue to be a loyal fan of Braun and the excellent products that they deliver. Thanks!!

Overall good product for a great price

Dry Use - Works perfectly. Had no issues.
Wet Use - I use this razor in the shower with shaving cream to save time sometimes. It works just as well as if you were using it dry.
Battery Life - 45 min Battery Indicator
Features
Docking Station/charging station is too small for electric razor. Since charging cord is like a spring, if electric outlet is too far from the station, it will pull it too much and tip it over. That get's annoying especially since the natural length of the cord is less than 8 in.
Precision Trimmer works in both dry use and wet use. The only problem I have with the precision trimmer is that its width a little wider than I would like but that may be because I am use to trimmers being .25 inch smaller.

Best Shaver I've ever used

They all "worked" but never seemed efficient and at times were unfortable so I always went back to traditional razors. I wasn't sure what to expect with the Braun Series-3 3080. I can honestly say after trying it that it is the best razor I've ever used. It is very comfortable on both dry and wet skin. It thoroughly removes facial hair without causing skin irritation and is comfortable to hold. Since using the Braun Series-3 3080, I have not used a traditional razor because this shaver does such a fantastic job. Highly recommended!

A Change For the Better

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've recently gotten a chance to try the Braun Series 3 razor for several weeks. Since I was old enough to shave, all I've ever used was the shavers with rounded screens or typical disposable razors. I've been adjusted to those for decades and thought those worked well for me. I had seen foil razors in the past but I felt that those wouldn't work well with my rougher whiskers and I perceived that it wouldn't be as close a shave.
Then I was given a Series 3 foil razor courtesy of Braun and gave it a fair chance for several weeks. They clearly stated on the inner packaging a useful tip about how to use the razor if you've used other types of razors before which was helpful. After some time using the razor, I did notice that my shave got progressively closer and closer. Initially it won't seem as close as shaving with other items you may be used to but it does get better as your skin and facial hair gets used to the way this shaver works. Personally, I would also say that after your skin has started getting used to the Series 3, give yourself a good shaving with a regular razor. This will give your skin a nice, complete wipe and then helping keep your facial hair looking awesome afterwards with the shaver.
Cleaning and maintenance of the unit was quick and easy. I prefer the dry cleaning, where you remove the top and clean out the debris, as opposed to the wet cleaning. I would suggest the dry cleaning because you then get a more thorough cleaning and less debris inside the unit and helping keep the shaver working longer. Battery life is very good, only charged it once in the few weeks I've had it after the initial charging.
Overall, I really liked how the Braun Series 3 razor started making my shaving go more easily in the mornings and actually is making me want to shave more often. If you're used to the other, rounded bladed shavers, it will take some time to adjust but be diligent and keep going, it will pay off.

Shave it or not to shave

I didn't really like this razor, for me it didn't get close enough to my face as other electric razors have in the past. I did like the bread trimmer, it fit into small places that I couldn't reach.

Awesome Shaver

I love that I can use this in the shower as well! This is a great shaver and I love the stand and cleaning brushes that come with this!
