A razor you'll want to try, and a review you'll want to read - the Braun Series 3-3080

THE UNBOXING
One of the important first features that I found was the sticker indicating that it may take time for the razor to perform at it's optimal level. The "brace for impact" helped keep my expectations reasonable going forward so I would know what to prepare for and how to handle the device.
The packaging was very well done. It was packaged in a means that made me think of it as the Apple product of razors. The most eye-grabbing bullet point on the package was the idea that an electric razor could handle the use of shaving cream. That' s pretty mind-blowing stuff.
The charging stand is nice, but I think it'd be a great addition to add a slot for the brush to go in the stand like a stylus goes into a tablet.
THE PERFORMANCE
I was shocked to see the difference between shaving with gel just using the razor. My experience without the gel is a decent shave with some slight tugging of hairs and such. With the gel, I felt almost no pulling of my hair at all! I cleaned the razor frequently with the gel, but I feel it was handling the shaving cream sufficiently.
THE ONE FLAW
This razor is attempting to be the all-in-one for shaving management. In many ways, it does succeed at that; however, the one thing that I have seen consistent struggle with is getting every hair at that ideal closeness that you strive for. I don't know if the razor structure prevents that possibility or if perhaps I need a shift in technique, but the rotary shaver is necessary for me to get the remaining chin hair and neck hair.
This flaw may not apply to all hair and chin types. If you have hair that grows in multiple directions, or you have thicker hair, you may need the rotary type to finish the job.
THE CONCLUSION
The Braun Series 3 razor looks sharp and is a really great electric razor. The idea that you can use shaving gel with the razor and it works effectively is incredible! The only flaw I experienced is that some spots remain after I felt I've thoroughly gone over the respective areas multiple times. That could be merely a personal issue, but you need a razor that meets your hair type.
I would recommend this razor and I believe that I can still get highly satisfactory use from it. Great job on the design, marketing, and overall presentation. I feel that many features of the device were well thought through.
P.S. I forgot to mention that they have a neat tool that lowers one of the blade sections to enhance the ability to get a close shave. I feel it helps slightly, but does demonstrate the attention to detail that went into this device.

Meh!! STylish but Sluggish, not the best razor. :(

Look and Feel: Blue metallic and rubberized grip does feel good and felt under control. the integrated trimmer feels weird but does the job, it does come with a premium case. but you do have to carry the charger separately. ( I wish they come up with a sleeker charger which can go inside the case)

Performance: initially it did not work out at all, So I followed the instruction and waited 2 - 3 weeks. after about 3 weeks of continuous use, it did an amazing job on the softer and smoother skin(near the cheek area) but did a terrible job under jaw/neck area where the skin is slightly rough.
the other brand electric razor did better than this, after seeing their website, I saw the 9 series razor which I would like to give it a try.

Best Foil Shaver Ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok, it;s been a few weeks now, and I have to admit, the Braun series 3-3080 is the closest foil shaver I have ever used! I don't always suffer from skin irritation, but when I do it can ruin my whole day. This shaver has given me zero irritation compared to other razors. I like the smooth feeling of the shave and I love the grip I can get with the handle. The trimmer keeps my beard edges lined up nicely and my moustache even and straight. The fact that it can be used wet or dry is great. I've had no issues cleaning it and it keeps a charge for a long time. (i've only charged it once since I've had it!) I highly recommend this shaver to anyone with a tough beard like mine as well, because I have stubble like steel wool and the Braun series 3-3080 went through it with no problem. Give it a shot and you'll probably never need another electric shaver again.

silky smooth

It worked amazingly well in the shower as well. My wife can't stop touching my face and complimenting me. Thank you Braun for sending me this amazing razor to try for free.

Pulls hair and hurts

It is a really close shave, and if you have a high threshold for pain this might be for you, but I find it to pull the hair too much. I used it a few days in a row and gave up.

Best Shave I've Ever Had!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before buying Braun Series 3 Shaver, you should read up on it, through the Braun website or sites like Amazon, where you can read personal reviews. If you want a fast, close shave and are tired of buying refillable razors, this is the best Shaver I have ever owned. I was never a big fan of electronic razors, until I tried the Braun Series 3 Shaver. The closest shave I have ever received from an electric razor, it doesn't pull the hair from your face like other razors and you can shave wet or dry!! I love the precision mode for tricky areas, like close to my nostrils and you only have to charge 1 hour for 1 weeks worth of shave time. I absolutely love and recommend this shaver to anyone looking for an excellent electric razor, because I have never found one that could beat the Braun Series 3!!!

Close but not close enough
