Easy to use

Really nice microwave for the price. This microwave heats very fast compared to older GE model we replaced. It is very easy to use and set up. The only complaint i have is that some of the command prompts are hard to read in dimly lit corner but this is not a problem that would keep me from buying this unit again. I would definitely recommend buying this if you are limited on space and like a countertop microwave.

Door stopped working

I would love to give a better review but and I have tried to stick with General Electric Apliances but my experience with microwaves has been shoddy at best unfortunately I've had two very expensive microwaves that have both failed within the first year basically the control pads and or the doorstops opening which is getting frustrated I decided to go buy an expensive General Electric product and it to has the same problems this is very sad.

Thanks for the review. We're sorry to hear that the door issues here have caused you to lower your rating. It's best to open the door by pressing the center of door latch release. When pressing in areas off center and further from center, the door latch is more difficult to operate. This is normal operation.
If you're not able to open your door at all, then we'd recommend taking advantage of your warranty as seen on page 19 of your Use and Care manual, here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-40783-1.PDF&_ga=2.93243289.584201695.1647453740-1166335625.1647453740

So far so good

I was hesitant b/c of some of the reviews. I've only had the microwave for several weeks but it's worked perfectly. I replaced a microwave I've had for probably 20 years. It was fine, but some parts had started to yellow and I wanted something a bit smaller. I like the size of my new one, I like the look. I'm happy.
