They don't make them like they used to.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this microwave for 2 years and 3 months. I thought it was going to explode on me. It made a terrible clanging noise accompanied by fire flashing out of the inside right side. There are actually burn marks on the panel. Lucky this happened when I first turned it on, so I was able to stop it quickly. And fortunate that my electrical engineer brother was here to unplug it for me. He deemed it too dangerous to leave it plugged in even when it was turned off. My previous GE microwave lasted 16 years. They don't make them like they used to.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Didn’t last long

Although I like the microwave, extremely disappointed that it just died after 2 years. For the money it cost should have lasted longer. All my past microwaves lasted longer.
