I use a steamer 2x a day and I keep having to buy a new one frequently because the plastic cracks. That’s why I purchased this glass bowl in hopes it would last for a very long time. It does leak water on counter top which can be wiped up but just a pain. It is a lot bulkier and heavier than expected. I don’t have space to keep on counter top so I have to store in cupboard. It takes a lot of distilled water for one use which I have to throw out what isn’t used each day because it says not to store with water in tank. It cooks veggies and food very well. However less time than indicated on included recipe book. I do like the way it steams my food I wish it was smaller and easier to handle.

I was impressed to discover the various different types of food I could use this for. I can set a manual setting to steam for a specific time or select one of the other functions. I've cooked boneless chicken breasts, and different vegetables. This summer I will use it for corn-on-the-cob. Can't wait. I was wondering, almost skeptical about how the steam was fed into the dish from the top. Works great and the steam is evenly distributed. I found out I needed to spend more to get a quality product as my other one only lasted a year.

Christmas present, worked well with the first cook. When we did the seafood game it did not work as advertised. My wife and I were disappointed with the way it streamed the very expensive seafood. We will enjoy the steamer and will use it.

We like everything about this steamer except for one thing. We primarily use this for steaming vegetables. The preset for vegetables is 10 minutes. It takes at least twice that. A manual input would be more user friendly than turning a dial to adjust time from the presets.

pros: Extra-Large capacity, does a great job with many different types of food. We primarily steam raw vegetables, potatoes, corn on the cob, and chicken breast with ease. Heats up immediately, and has a nice keep warm feature.
cons: - I don't care for the digital control which is finicky & hard to set. I primarily use the manual setting, which is also touchy to set. - It is VERY bulky & does not store easily. Also heavy. Takes up a lot room in our pantry when not in use. - The large glass steamer dish is susceptible to chipping on the end handles and I can not find a place that a replacement dish is sold separately. So it appears if the dish is broken, you will have to buy and 100% complete new unit in order to replace. - I have not had very good success with rice which can take up to 1 hour. Stove to rice is much simpler.
Overall, I would purchase this streamer again if had the option. It does a great job cooking.
