I had been using a plastic steamer, but have become concerned about the chemicals in plastic, particularly when it’s heated. I decided to splurge on the Cuisinart glass steamer, and I’m thrilled I did. It’s easy to operate, it holds a lot, and it’s easy to clean. I’ve used it for seafood, eggs, vegetables, and in many other food prep situations. It does a great job with beets, broccoli, shrimp, potatoes, and much more. The only drawback is that it’s large, but I cleared a space for it in my kitchen because I use it frequently. And I don’t hbe concerns steaming with glass where I did with plastic. I highly recommend it!

I like the tray, pot and lid are either glass or stainless steel. Better and safer choice for food. Steam also comes out very quickly , saving a lot of cooking time. Leftovers can be saved directly in the glass pot and goes into the fridge. Super efficient and convenient.

This was a great steamer. After a few years, it has started leaking water all over the counter, but all parts appear intact.
