First of all, the packaging was strong & protective. I've really enjoy using this steamer with stainless steel grill & glass pan (size is perfect for 4 plus cups of veggies) and also serves as a perfect serving dish. The grill spacing is good as small veggies does not fall thru and turns out perfect in 10 minutes. The reheat feature is nice -as I can add dollops of butter at the end or toss in other food for a quick warm-up. A booklet of instructions & recipes ideas is included. Haven't tried a lot of other foods yet -just salmon with butter & dill -very good, a small head of purple cabbage and also brussell sprouts. Was glad to donate by all-plastic steamer and also hope to get this 5-liter glass steamer pot for my daughter's family. Highly recommend.

I had been using a plastic steamer, but have become concerned about the chemicals in plastic, particularly when it’s heated. I decided to splurge on the Cuisinart glass steamer, and I’m thrilled I did. It’s easy to operate, it holds a lot, and it’s easy to clean. I’ve used it for seafood, eggs, vegetables, and in many other food prep situations. It does a great job with beets, broccoli, shrimp, potatoes, and much more. The only drawback is that it’s large, but I cleared a space for it in my kitchen because I use it frequently. And I don’t hbe concerns steaming with glass where I did with plastic. I highly recommend it!
