Perfect for Backcountry hiking or hunting, where you have no cell signal! My wife was able to track my route through the high country and I was able to send messages to update where I was camping and when I was ahead of schedule or behind! Such a game changer and gives you extra piece of mind!

Mountain biking in Washington is amazing. Most of the time you are without cell service. This little unit is a game changer. Especially when the wives are able to communicate and know that we are alive and well

I had the Delores Inreach se for a few years. Bow hunting solo, raft trips, fly fishing outside of cell reception it was clutch. Never had to use the 911 services but weather alerts and checking in with my wife were a game changer. The Inreach mini has been more of the same, but the battery life means I can leave it running for a multi day trip without a thinking about it. The small size means it can go in a fly fishing vest or in shorts for a ultralight hike. My Garmin Instinct will buzz me for any messages without having to dig for the Inreach or doffing my pack. Excellent product. The only reason it doesn't have 5 stars is the display. It is very clear but the polarized lense on it means reading it is a two hands no sunglasses operation!

Was super stoked to get my inreach mini, programmed it right before heading out on a 6 hour bike ride. About 4 hours into the ride, homie went down and got knocked out and fractured his C1. Stoked that I had an inreach to help get him out, otherwise it would have been a 2 hour bike out to find phone service.

You can also track your location and share with you family and friends.
We just recently did the Washington and Oregon backcountry discovery routes and our loved ones got to have fun following us on the map.
Like I said, this is the one you need.

This is a very portable device to track your hikes, Mark locations, send text updates when you don't have cell service, and have peace of mind with the SOS ability! Best price I could find was on Expert Voice!
