So easy to use with the mobile application. It really helps to stay in touch while away from cell service. Extra peace of mind knowing you can SOS from anywhere.

The inreach was very difficult to link with phones, some customer service agents were helpful, and some were not.

Activation failed

Tried to set the device up as soon as I got it. A few hours later still waiting for activation to finish. Bad start

My second one this is a replacement to one I lost in a creek on a fishing trip, immediately bought a new one. I recommend this to everyone I can and wouldn’t do what I do without it now.

An impressive device with a subpar app and site.

I'm a big fan of Garmin who used its watches from Vivoactive to Fenix 6. I was impressed by both the device and the software infrastructure - both the phone app and the Garmin website. Inreach Mini was different: it's a wonderful tool, but I had tons of unsolved issues synchronizing my phone's now-retired Earthmate app with the "explorer" site. I can't make tracks and transfer them to the phone and the device, for example. I understand that Inreach Mini 2 uses a different infrastructure and apps, and that makes me sad. I contacted Garmin support and got no answers. It appears that they intentionally want people to move to Mini 2.
