So thankful I had this device

Had a mixup with vehicle shuttle service. Finished 7 day backpack and no car at trailhead and 20 miles from cell service. Saved by the texting feature. I was able to text my wife who contacted shuttle service who sent someone up to get me.

Game Changer

This thing is great. Such a cool piece of technology. Little bit of a learning curve as far as all of the lingo and technology goes, but spend an afternoon learning it and you’ll be glad you did. I feel much better about taking very remote fishing trips now.

Others keep track of me!

I purchased this finally this year so my family could track my progress through my weeklong, solo backpacking trip. They enjoyed the ability to follow my progress. And I had piece of mind knowing I could send messages if so inclined and summon help if I got caught up in an area affected by an active wildfire. I bought my son the same unit last year so he could get help in an emergency - he lives in rural Alaska and he and his wife spend a lot of time in the outdoors. I got a message from him yesterday as he started an 8 day trip.
The unit is lightweight and small. Great purchase!

Great fetchers and it works

I got it a month ago. Haven’t got to use it much. Will use it when deer season comes in. I hunt in WV in mountains with no cell services. Got it for peace of mind and keep in contact with family.

Lucky our camp neighbor had one of these!

A good friend of mine had a freak accident while riding bikes in a remote area without signal. We were very lucky to have the group close to us with one of these and were able to get emergency services and an ambulance to us within 45 minutes. Will definitely be purchasing one ASAP and carrying it for all backcountry trips. Small price to pay to save a life

Greatest peace of mind

This little device is a must have for avid backcountry adventurers. I take it with me mountain biking, skiing, and climbing. It's great to get weather reports on multi-day trips and the ability to text people and have the safety of an SOS beacon is invaluable.
