just purchased I think it will give everyone involved great piece of mind I will use snowmobiling, hound hunting and for river trips a great life line to have.

Great product and clear directions!

I'm a 66 year old woman who hikes. I absolutely LOVE this product and feel a sense of safety when I use it. The directions and videos for using the inReach Mini are clear and easy to understand. My husband can track my hikes from his home computer, so he always knows exactly where I am, even if I'm out of cell phone range. I can also use the inReach to help me find my way back to my vehicle, when I'm on a longer hike. It's lightweight and easy to use. Great product and clear directions for how to use it!

It can’t swim

Worked well until it went overboard during a storm in the Gulf of Mexico last week. He will be missed.

Tool in the toolbox

I bought the Inreach Mini because we snowmobile in some pretty remote areas and I felt it would be great to have " just in case".
On our last trip I used some of the texting features and it worked exactly as it should have.
I consider this a tool,a tool I hope I never need to use but we have it "just in case".

I bought this basically for work. I am in the mountains alot with little to no cell coverage it gives me a way to contact coworkers and management when I set out on snowshoes or have issues accessing a site. I really like the ability to send pre-defined messages or connect to your phone and send a detailed TXT message. I will also be taking this with me when I set out on the ocean for halibut season you can't have too many safety measures in place when you're 20 miles off shore.

My wife tends to worry when I'm out in the wilderness alone, so having an inReach is worth the cost for her peace of mind, even if I never end up needing it for an emergency.
After an hour getting the device set up and tested at home, I was ready for my first satellite-connected wilderness outing. At the trailhead I let my wife know I was starting, and the device tracked my entire hike, checking in again at the top and back at the car. Once it failed to connect in a densely forested area, but connected again soon after. The device itself is compact and solid.
