Endless fun while learning!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a complimentary Crayola Color Chemistry Lab Set for review purposes. All opinions are my own. My 8 year old daughter was so excited to get this lab set. We have had lots of fun attempting experiments. I love that it incorporates science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics. This comes with a book on how to do 50 experiments. 16 of them have everything you need included in the set. The other experiments include items in the set but need extra things found easily at home like paper towels or plastic water bottles. Each experiment has a little paragraph explaining the science of it. Some experiments have to be performed in order to perform the next. So far my daughters has made glow worms and did two further experiments based off that one. She also did a rubber goo experiment. She has a little over two weeks left of summer vacation before school starts back so we have decided to start at the beginning on experiment #1 and work our way through a few each morning. She is most looking forward to erupting a volcano. She loves working with color as art is her passion. This has been perfect for her and very educational. All experiments can be completed without googles or rubber gloves so they are completely safe. Definitely recommend!

Color lab fun

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a month ago and I'm so impressed with it. My kids absolutely love it because you can make all kinds of things with this. Some of the things you can make is an erupting volcano, glow worms witch was my daughter's favorite thing to make. You can also make sticky slime and tuber glue and so much more. You do need to supervise your children I had fun with it also. I definitely recommend this to my family and friends.

She wants to be a scientist when she grows up and I think she really feels like I scientist working on these experiments! The instruction manual allows you to do 50 experiments and the kit includes materials for over 25 of the 50 experiments. The other items can easily be found in your kitchen. The experiments are fun to do with your child but the instructions are simple enjoy enough that your child could manage it alone (with adult supervision:-)). If your child is interested in STEM activities you must get this lab set!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is literally a child’s dream come true! Plus it is a lot of fun for adults to participate too. The included instructions are great. They provide directions as well as visual pictures which is great for a child to follow. Our first experiment ended up being the glow worms. They are so cool! They really glowed. My six year old loves this whole box of experiments. I love that the experiments are packaged for easy use and less mess. I definitely recommend this product. Trust me your child will love it!

Perfect Beginning Science Kit

I purchased this to use in our pre-K homeschool year for my five year old with additional needs. I thought this might be a fun activity to pull out sometimes, but my daughter absolutely loves it and asks to do an experiment every homeschool day. Her favorite thing in the world is color mixing, so this set is perfect for her with all the different colored inks included. The quality of the experiments is better than I expected. The print in the experiment booklet is quite small, but that isn't a reason to take away a star. If I had known how much we would love this kit, I would have recreated the instructions with bigger font and possibly a visual supply list ... perhaps add in a journaling element. I actually might purchase this to do a second time and do just that! This is the perfect introduction to gathering supplies, hearing a bit about science, and following instructions to perform an experiment. I was pleasantly surprised with this kit and highly recommend.

Didn't work

Went to make the bouncy Ball experiment with my kids. It didn't work at all. Tried it again I made sure I measured it exactly and it did not work. Volcano experiment barely bubbled over.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tons of experiments!

This kit provides hours of fun learning. My 4-year old and I spent two hours playing with it and only covered the first 5-6 experiments. Compared to other science kits, I loved that this set has everything needed for the experiments - both tools and materials. The guide is also great as it provides a lot of suggestions for the reflections and discussions of the experiments. I also loved that it's a combination of science and creativity. I would recommend it for younger kids, though, as I can see how the older ones might get bored with it. In addition, I would include toy goggles and gloves to teach kids safety when working with chemicals.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved this! It’s nice to have something to do with the kids that I can enjoy, too. The kit contains many cool experiments, including glow worms and ways to monitor change in them. The booklet provides scientific hypothesis for the outcomes as well as more information for what’s happening at the molecular level. I was able to do the experiment with my children and explain to them what happened.
The kit contains a lot of the necessary material needed, while some of the experiments work with only the kit, sixteen, the rest will need something outside of the kit to be able to complete it.
I really love this kit. It’s fun, the kids love it and we all get to learn while experimenting.
