The board and concept is great. The light up feature is great, although our board came out of the box extremely scratched up already making it difficult to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Unable to wash off washable markers

My son loved this until we used washable Crayola dry erase markers on the board and they won't wash off. He received this for his birthday about 2 weeks ago and it is already unusable. We are both so sad and disappointed. I wish there was a larger warning to only use the markers that came with the board.

New. Doesn't light up. Tried different batteries and still didn't work. Store is currently sold out so unable to exchange it.

Perfect for little artists in the making!

My kids love this board and the markers do store right on the back which is a bonus. Problem is the board came scratched and clouded right out of the box/packaging. I could tell it wasn’t a return so it’s a manufacture issue. And going by reviews here and other places I see this is a common problem. Not only that they don’t sell replacement markers for this. I can find the other markers so I guess that’s not too much of an issue but the scratch’s and cloudiness is an issue for myself and others as well. Hopefully this problem will be fixed in the near future.

Does not include pens, skip this as a gift

We opened the Crayola Ultimate Light Board for Christmas this morning with our daughter. No pens were included in the package, and we can’t use anything else on the board for it to work. Completely useless :(. Complete gift fail

Don’t buy!

I’m having to return a second one of these ultimate light boards. The first one was cracked and looked all smudged up like someone used it for a while. The second one has scratches on the screen and also looks used. The screen doesn’t come clean at all. Seriously disappointing for my 5 years old grandson.

My four (almost 5) year old got this for Christmas. He Loves it and uses a lot, which makes me so happy. It is a great gift for children that will keep them entertained for long periods of time.
I like that you can take the blackboard out and put pictures in its place so you can trace them. My little one uses it as a board so he can be the teacher and teach me letters, numbers, equations, how to draw and many other things. He also likes to sit and have quiet time to just doodle til his little heart’s content.
The only reason it isn’t a 5 star review:
After the very first doodle, he used the recommended way to clean it (I gave him a damp-no excess water- cloth) and it smeared the screen. The instructions say to only use water. I just got on the website and it says if marker is left for an extended time, light dish soap may need to be used to remove smears and markers…if dish soap is allowed, it should be included on instructions for those who actually use it to prolong the life of the board.

It should also include recommended markers as well, since I just read on the website the recommended markers besides those included.
The last thing that caused loss of stars is that when we push the button (as instructed) to turn off the light and save batteries, it doesn’t cut off. It also takes longer than stated to automatically turn off, which causes the lights to randomly flash. So either I need to invest in a bunch of batteries to save the hassle of removing them every time he is done, or I have to go through the hassle of taking the batteries out every time he is done and putting them back in when he wants to use it again.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great product but is very blurry and cloudy.

I bought this as a Christmas gift 2023 for my granddaughter. It is very cloudy and blurry out of the box. She has used it twice and now I can’t get it to come clean and that is with following the directions. I’m not happy with this product. Kinda wished I would have spent more and gotten her the more expensive one.

We have found that dampening a soft cloth with water to clean is effective. Just be sure to go over with a dry cloth to pick up any remaining residue.
