I bought this in 2020 to replace my microwave and toaster oven.
It's been great for refreshing bread, toasting, reheating, steaming, baking, and roasting! I love that it fits a 12" pizza or a 9x9 baking pan as it prevents me from having to use my oven for these smaller quantities. And it heats up more quickly than a traditional oven (and cooks more evenly).

Sadly, the interface has started malfunctioning in the last year - sometimes pushing the "Light" button won't do anything or it might start steam cleaning, sometimes the screen lights up out of nowhere or it won't time out or it shows a blank screen.
A mechanical engineer friend of mine was so excited to help me fix it - said it sounded like corrosion/water damage but couldn't disassemble the riveted metal casing to access the control board without destroying it (aka these units weren't meant to be repairable). I'm still able to use it - I just have to keep my eye on things in case something goes awry but it's mostly just been the "Light" button malfunctioning.

I really love this product so so much. Countertop steam convection ovens in this price range are a rarity (this was really the only one) and I would buy it again in a heartbeat as I've read other reviews of folks loving it and continuing to use it for many years beyond my 5 years. I guess I'll just keep using it until it dies... and hope Cuisinart comes out with an even better one by then!!!

What now?

I bought this years ago when it first came out. I’ve used it almost daily. Now, it tells me to add water. The water reservoir is full. I’m heartbroken. I’m replacing the plug. Wish me luck.
