I'm not very tech savvy , but I get by. I had no trouble at all assembling the stand to the base and the monitor to the stand. No tools required, it all just snaps/clicks together. This monitor is bright and sharp for both text on the screen and photos or browser windows. Not one broken pixel. Everything is perfect right out of the box. I had to provide an HDMI cable, which was not included. Adjustments for height and viewing angles are very flexible and easy and it makes it really quick to get comfortable in front of this monitor and be productive without a lot of fuss. Speakers built in are weak and tinny, but I use external speakers, so this was not a deal breaker. Don't expect great sound from this otherwise terrific monitor. Overall I think this screen is the perfect size for home use, superbly featured and priced with great value for all it has to offer. I know I will get years of crisp, clear images and easy adjustment with my VG 2248.
