This AP can be easily setup and managed from your phone with the Netgear Insight app.
Firmware updates are painless, the speed and range are great as well.

Seamless installation and configuration

Installed 3 WAC505 APs for a client last week. Insight app made installation and configuration quick and painless. Ability to monitor and make changes via the app is priceless. Definitely going to recommend NETGEAR Insight Smart Cloud to all my clients.

Netgear Access Point and Insight

Was having wifi connectivity and with the purchase of the Netgear WAC505 all wifi connectivity issues were resolved as soon as the access point was installed. Wish I knew of this device years ago. Also, love the ability to see how my network is performing and what is connected to it via the Netgear Insight App.

Unit was easy to setup. Wished the interface was a little bit more detailed. We are a Meraki shop and us this interface a lot. The Insight app/interface is a little sparse and not as well organized

Quick but frustrating setup

Very easy to setup - it was pretty much plug n play. We bought a pack of three wireless access points to provide customer WiFi throughout our venue using Facebook WiFi. Very frustrating that the instructions in the box point you to setup through the app, but the app requires a subscription to setup features such as Facebook WiFI (which are free when setup locally!) What a waste of time.

Excellent AP - Couldn't be happier

My main AP is a WAC540 and I need to extend wifi coverage to the garage. So I decided to get a wAC505 and use WDS to extend the wifi network into the garage. The backhaul is 5GHz and I am getting 178Mbps Internet speed on both the WAC540 (wired) and the WAC505 (wireless bridged). I am very pleased with this setup. Performance is outstanding.
