Piece of crap

This refrigerator is horrible. It is less than 5 years old. Freezer works with a lot of noise, the refrigerator has stopped working.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

If your refrigerator is not working properly, please be sure the thermostat (controls) was not turned off by accident. If this does not solve the issue, service may be needed. You can schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or online here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm. Please be sure to keep the refrigerator plugged in to make sure the symptoms do not disappear. This helps the technician better diagnose the fridge.

Noisy Freezer

It is 7 yrs old this month. Walls, floor and back of fridge free of dust. Off and on this year, sounds like it is dying. Loud banging , whiny noises centered around freezer (which has never been full, used mainly for homemade manual ice cubes, nothing automated) Not your mamas fridge that would last for decades.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We bought this as replacment of our fancy refrigerator that was totaly unreliable. Its a nice unit and runs on lower power. Its one drawback is no light in the freezer.

Only 6 years old and it’s dead.

Fridge is basically used for leftovers at the holidays and a beer fridge for our basement bar. Purchased it maybe 6 years ago and the compressor is already shot. Not happy at all. Went to price same one today and it’s double the price now. This is insane that a fridge dies in less than 10 years!!!

Perfect Size

Our old GE fridge finally gave up after 25 years - Wow! Of course, we decided to purchase another GE product. We opted on a smaller "extra fridge" in our laundry room. We were quite surprised by how much space this smaller fridge had. We've had it for over a week now and couldn't be happier :)
