Bought this using the Black Friday deals. I am totally pleased with the purchase, I have made wings, homemade fries, plantain, pork chops with the air fryer and it’s been awesome.

Basket won’t stay in

Nice air fryer with lots of room for food but ours came as a bit of a lemon. Basket kept popping out which would kill power. The toggle switch inside that the basket pushes into was too strongly sprung. Made some adjustments and added a thin rubber gasket on the bottom edge of the front plastic portion of the basket and she sticks now but it shouldn’t be necessary. Other than that, simple controls and fast even heating at a great sale price.

This is the second Insignia Air Fryer I have bought at Best Buy. I have the larger 5L one and now this smaller one for my parents. They are very well made, very easy to use, and the food comes out beautifully crispy and brown without all the fat. Wish I had one years ago.

Nauseating chemical smell

My daughter purchased this item. We have used 3 times but I am extremely concerned about the nauseating chemical smell towards the end of the cooking cycle. It is BPA free?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
