Insignia Air Fryer one truly dumb weakness

The airfryer is pretty nice except for the fact that the basket is very badly designed. It has two screws on nuts that come loose constantly - like after every couple uses. Then they might get lost in your food or render your appliance useless till you go to the hardware store. Every thought of swallowing a tiny little bolt? I have no idea why this did not show up in testing. This one flaw makes the air fryer feel flimsy at the basket and means it is even a little dangerous. Apparently you can retrofit it by buying lock screw. No way am I going to give more than one star to something that you have to retrofit out of the box just to make it safe and functional. BTW - don't review things until you have had them a while and can see how they actually perform! First couple uses I thought this was great.

Perfect crisp everytime

Love all the different settings. Chicken wings have been better since I’ve got it, and fries crisp perfectly everytime.

I'm really sensitive with noice but this product is so quiet and does it's job! Definitely recommend to everyone who is looking for an Air Fryer.

Doesn't work properly

I purchased this air fryer and it doesn't work consistently. You have to push the basket for the light to switch on and it won't always turn on. I have to buy a brand new air fryer now.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love it, cooks and cleans quick & is just the right size.
I had a similar unit that lasted 3 yrs, replaced it with a larger oven that toasts, air fries & bakes. It is a real pain to clean, I need to soak the wire mesh rack after air frying & scrub the oven where food drips.
My plan was to get rid of toaster & seperate air fryer as my kitchen is small. Lol, did not work!

Cheap Component Bad Quality

After about 9 months, my Air Fryer died yesterday. I did find out that the reason why it died was that a safety switch failed to work. The design is terrible, tough to access the switch. I have to scrap it, adding some stupid product to the landfill of our dear earth.
