I hate this dishwasher; It takes too long to wash dishes. (over 2 hours at the normal setting) The settings are hard to understand. I want a dish washer I can quickly turn on and move on with my life. This thing has a bunch of different setting that are unnecessary. The directions are horrible. The dishes are never completely dry. It works and I really can't return it, so I'm stuck with it.

Hi - Thank you for your insightful review of your GE dishwasher. We truly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience using this unit and your comments will be shared with our product team. We're sorry you find the cycle is too long and the settings difficult to use. Once you're ready to use your dishwasher, all of the settings from your previous cycle will be set. All you need to do is press Start and close the door firmly to engage the lock. The unit will begin operating at you pre-selected settings. It is not necessary to change them each time unless you choose to do so. We hope this helps. Vikki@GEA
This is by far the worst dishwasher. I have had 3 service calls and only had the dishwasher a few months. It has leaked twice from the door and door wouldn’t close. I will never purchase another GE appliance.

I wish the designer of this dishwasher would have to stand and hand dry the dishes for everyone who get stuck with this model.

Hi there,
We're awfully sorry to hear that your dishwasher is not drying properly and can certainly understand how annoying that is. We'd like to share a troubleshooting article with helpful information.
Door is very light weight - we went to the type packets and brand of detergent the owners manual recommends - part of the time the detergent door doesn't open - other times it opens but detergent doesn't dissolve - I would not recommend this unit for home!

Hey there,
We're terribly sorry to hear that your dishwasher cup is not opening all the time and that your detergent doesn't always dissolve. We certainly understand how much of an inconvenience that must be and would like to help. Check out the following articles.

The very first day it was installed it did not complete it's cycle. The water did not drain out. The water just sat at the bottom of the dishwasher. So the technician s came back and said they fixed it. Now it is still not draining.

Hello, thank you for your review. We are sincerely sorry that your dishwasher is not draining properly despite your service appointment. We understand how that would be frustrating and would love to look into this further as this is not the ownership experience we strive for. If you haven't done so already, we recommend scheduling a follow-up service appointment with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can schedule service online at: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm or by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) Monday – Friday: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. ET or Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. ET. We hope this helps! -Chris@GEA
