No dryer to dry the dishes
on July 10, 2021

Much smaller capacity than a typical dishwasher. And it doesn’t have a drying cycle. I run my dishes at night while we sleep so I’m not awake when the cycle completed to open the door as the literature suggests you do. Stupid design to have no drying feature. If it wasn’t already installed I’d return it.

Hello- We understand your frustration when a new appliance doesn't meet your expectations. This model doesn't have a dedicated Dry option. However, the Condensate Dry is always on.
This model does have a heating element. It’s integrated into the wash pump assembly. The heating element is a part of the wash pump assembly. This is why it is not listed as a separate part on the parts list.
We recommend turning your hot water on at your kitchen sink first and be sure to use rinse agent in the dispenser. This should give you a noticeable improvement. We appreciate your feedback and will be sure to share this with our engineering and design teams. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are here to help! Joyce@GEA

Hello- We are glad that this is working well for you, but sorry you are having issues fitting your dishes inside the dishwasher. Your model has the option to raise the upper rack and doing so will provide more space for you in the lower rack. Please see page 8 in your manual.

Calrod Heater / Condensate Dry
on July 13, 2021
Posted by: o dog
We had your product for two days and struggled to figure out how to get our dishes dry. After reading the manual and researching on line, we found out about the Calrod Heater Condensate Dry. I can't say we are happy about this. I asked friends, family, coworkers etc.about this NEW feature. Nobody had a clue or heard about it. Having to open up the door after a cleaning cycle is unfortunately inconvenient. Most people are just to busy to catch this on time! It is installed and would cause a hassle with taking off of work for it to be exchanged.Everybody I talked to would have also not noticed this BIG change I highly recommend your company to make it WAY MORE VISIBLE for customers that there is NO heating element in this machine.

Hello- We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and will share this with our marketing teams.
Note: The wash cycle times listed in the Owner’s Manual are total time including wash and condensate dry. So, the wash cycle times listed in the owner's manual are the total cycle time including the dry portion of the cycle. This model does have a heating element. It’s integrated into the wash pump assembly. The heating element is a part of the wash pump assembly. This is why it is not listed as a separate part on the parts list.
The entering water should be at least 120°F (49°C) and not more than 150°F (66°C) for effective cleaning and to prevent dish damage. Check the water temperature with a candy or meat thermometer.
You can also turn the hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher on before turning your dishwasher on. This will allow the first fill to be nice and hot. If you have any questions in the future, please let us know. We are here to help! Joyce@GEA

I needed an ADA dishwasher in my kitchen. This model was the only one available. Washed ok but lacks a drying setting. Dishes dry by opening the door. Few settings to choose from. Would not have purchased this model normally but it was the only one available.

Cheaply made and does not have a drying cycle. Who would think we should have looked for that normal feature. Silverware basket will no reseat properly. Absolutely will never recommend. We were replacing a GE with this very similar GE so there was no reason not to expect a good product. Oh brother, were we wrong. The old one broke so it had to be replaced.
