The second time I ran a cycle the handle on the silverware basket came off when I was unloading the silverware. Not a good start. Our prior dishwasher was also a GE and had no problems. A feature our prior dishwasher had that I loved was a light that shined on the floor in front of the dishwasher when the cycle was complete.
This dishwasher looks ok, although I never understood hiding the display under the counter where you can't see it. The capacity is tiny - everything feels cramped and I can't imagine that anyone would ever use the function to lower the top rack - things barely fit on the bottom rack with the top rack raised up. In short, this dishwasher is tiny, and if I wasn't stuck with low countertops, I would have chosen almost any other dishwasher. As for its washing abilities...the dishes come out clean, but soaked. It doesn't matter what cycle you use, there are pools of water on every dish. Nothing like hand drying every dish you just washed. This dishwasher is trash. Would not recommend, unless you have low countertops like me, and you have no other choice.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to assist with your dishes being wet after a completed cycle. It's extremely important that the water entering the dishwasher is between 120°F and 140°F to ensure the best drying results. Be sure to run the faucet closest to the dishwasher prior to starting the dishwasher to purge cold water from the hot water line. Additionally, we recommend you check the rinse aid dispenser and fill it if it is empty. Rinse aids promotes drying by causing water to sheet off of dishware and glassware. You can find additional information that would help improve your dishwasher's drying performance here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17451.
This is still a new purchase but happy to have a dishwasher.

This is a wonderful dishwasher that features an autosense cycle. During this cycle, a beam of light measures soil levels and water temperature to adjust to the ideal cycle time. We're confident this dishwasher will be an asset in your home for years to come.
[Employee of ge_appliances] I keep having a problem with hazy glasses coming out of the dishwasher. I’ve tried different soaps. I’ve made sure the water is hot. I tried different cycles, but it keeps happening.

We are happy to assist you with the cloudiness you see on your glasses after a dishwasher cycle is complete. This can occur when there's a combination of soft water and too much detergent. This is called etching and is permanent. To prevent this from happening, use less detergent if you have soft water. Wash your glassware in the shortest cycle that will get it clean. You will also want to make sure the water temperature entering the dishwasher isn't above 150° F. For steps on how to do this and other tips, see the article here: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=21548

This dishwasher was installed 1,2,2026. On 1/29/2026 it stopped running and issued an error code. I contacted the company that did the installation. They recommended I contact my appliance insurance company who will not replace it as it is under warranty to GE

We want to help you with your dishwasher getting an error code. We recommend reaching out to our Bodewell service team at 1-833-426-3393 to schedule an appointment.
The bottom rack has short & tall posts in different sections so your dishes get knocked around. No replacement/improved part is available. IF i had paid more attention to this rack I would not have purchased this dishwasher.
I purchased rubber extenders for the shorter posts but it didn't help.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
