Really great bassinet!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was invited to the Fisher-Price Play Lab to pick up the Soothing Motions Bassinet to review in home, I was compensated for my time.
I really love this bassinet! It’s got every feature on it that I’ve had to purchase separately to have on other bassinets like the white noise or music and mobile. It’s so nice that it comes all together. It was very easy to assemble and my son loved it when in it. I only wish it had a button to make it rock itself - but I’m so pleased with it and for the price - someone couldn’t go wrong.

No lock-out feature

I bought this bassinet and it worked great for my newborn. Then he started moving a little in his sleep and the bassinet shakes with the baby’s motion and that woke him up. The description said that there was a lock-our feature unfortunately that was incorrect and the rocking can’t be Stopped. if you have a baby that wriggles around this bassinet will likely keep him up!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We're truly sorry for your disappointment. The lock-out feature is only meant to minimize the movement, not stop the swaying completely.

Just what we needed

This bassinet is just what we needed! Our daughter was giving some problems sleeping overnight. We got this bassinet and she has now been sleeping up to 8 hours a night! She loves the stars that shine on the ceiling, the vibrating motion and the fact that I could sway her. She stays so calm. And the mesh siding puts me at ease for reducing the risk of SIDS. Completely recommend this product!

Easy to put together!

This bassinet was so easy to put together. It is a great size and didn't take up too much space in our master bedroom. We did not need to use too many of the features for our daughter, but I'm sure another baby would enjoy the rocking capabilities and vibration.

Do not buy.

I should have listened to my friend. Don’t purchase this. The mattress is made out of a fabric that crinkles when baby kicks. It’s purpose is for moisture repellent but it’s SO loud. The movement on the bassinet doesn’t lock. So any startle reflexes are amplified. The mobile doesn’t turn on its own. The sounds and vibrations are on a timer and shut off before baby sleeps.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are very happy with our bassinet. I did a ton of research before and saw this had great reviews and was much more reasonably priced than similar options. It is safe (flat), and the battery operated options (vibrating, music) turn off so you don't drain the batteries. I do wish there was a setting to leave vibrate on a bit longer. We don't use the music because we prefer white noise. It's also pretty transportable. We used it for a four-night trip and were able to break it down to bring it along.
