Amazing But.....

Absolutely LOVED putting this together. I love how they use simple pieces us to implement the eyes. Was a lot of fun putting together, took me back to the days of the Defender of the Universe.
Very solid piece, great quality, took about a week, but only worked on it for about 2-3 hours a day. Wanted to prolong the build, cause once it's done...it's done lol.
My one criticism and wish, is that for the price and piece of art, I wished it would've come with the Lego figures. I think that would've really made it complete. Most the time any large collectors set would have. Just a thought.
Thanks Lego for coming out with amazing ideas and bringing back the great things we love and grew up with.

Worth the Wait!!!

As a kid watching the show I built my own Voltron from bricks that I had. Now after waiting 30 years what was in my mind is now in Lego!!! This set is simply awesome! My kids and I loved building this and with five family members we each have our own Lion! Beyond worth the money highly recommend! It can be a bit tricky to build for kiddos but go slow and have fun!

So awesome...

This was my first big adventure with this Lego sets and what an adventure.
16 bags of parts, 5 lions, 1 sword, 1 shield and a lot of brilliant minds behind the set.
Creating all the lions is really awesome and the build is not that complicated. It will take some time to finish some of the lions.
To build Voltron, it looks a bit fragile, especially when mounting the arms part, but really easy to do so.
This is totally worth the money for the set.

Waited for a long time for this...

I have been waiting for a long time for this to hit shelves. I am very pleased and excited to own it. Truly pays homage to the original Voltron series. The build is not hard at all, and the quality of the build is stellar. I highly recommend this set to robot/chogokin fans all over the world.

Amazing fun build. I built this with my 10 year old son. I enjoyed the nostalgia and the detail that went into this. He just enjoyed the complexity of the set.
We set out to enjoy the build so we decided to limit ourselves to one lion a day.
First tip: the build order is yellow, blue, black, green, red. I recommend going arms first, green and red. Then legs, blue and yellow and finish with the torso, black.
The increasing complexity as they get bigger is like going up a level
My only negative on this build are the tools. They seem kind of pointless and unrelated to the rest of the set. It would have been cooler to get minifigs of the pilots instead even if they aren't to scale.

An amazing set. What a way to combine two childhood favorites. I use to build my own versions of Voltron with Lego going back thirty years. And this set is perfect for any Lego fan. It's so much fun building this set. it might just be Legos best set yet. This set could of easily been sold for well over 200, or even sold separately as five individual lions. I applaud Lego and Leandro Tayag with the ingenuity and detail constructing it. I would love to see more Voltron related sets.

At long last - a childhood dream come true

Having been a lifelong fan of both Lego and Voltron / Golion, I've long dreamed of having Voltron as a set. I've created several versions myself, of varying degrees of complexity and detail. At first, there were a few things I didn't particularly like about this set, as judged from pictures and video, such as having to remove the limbs of black lion to reposition them to form Voltron. I can honestly say now that I have built this set that the few (and there are indeed very few) concessions made by the designers were more than worth it. This set is amazing and hits every note my younger self has longed for over the last three decades. Kudos to the designers, I wouldn't change a thing! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for choosing this set from Ideas and making it a reality.
