Like the machine itself. The instruction manual doesn't clearly show what all the icons on the screen actually mean. Making the four legs higher was good as I had to get rid of my old Cuisinart because water accumulated below unit and rusted out the bottom metalplate.

This is probably the best coffee maker I have ever owned. I even bought another one after "losing" the first one in a break-up. It consistently produces delicious coffee whether brewing a full pot or just 4-6 cups. I also work from home and drink coffee throughout the day and the up-to-four-hours time-to-shut-off (as opposed to one or two on most coffee makers) and adjustable carafe temperature holds the coffee at a perfect drinking temperature for an extended period without ever scorching it.

I owned this exact coffee pot for 18 plus years and loved it. When it began to leak at the bottom, I replaced it with the same new pot. I noticed the new design had more drip holes to allow the water to come down over the grinds. At first I thought this would be good, because it would cover more of the grinds area instead of a slower drip through the center only, of the grinds. But what I have found is that it brews a weaker pot of coffee, rather than bold, as I prefer. So now I always brew the coffee on the "bold" setting, thinking that maybe it will come down slower and brew it more richly, but it still seems to brew a little weak for my liking. Therefore, to get the full bodied or stronger flavor that I like, I have to use more coffee grinds than I always had in the past. This is more costly of course. I think they added too many drip holes with the upgrade. It now has 33. They should have added only a few more. I otherwise like the pot features and its look. I just wish it brewed the same as the old design.

I chose Cuisinart for its reputation of long-lasting well made products, and I am so happy with my 12-cup model. I wanted the choice of either brewing a few cups for myself or enough for company. And I wanted an auto turn off so I needn’t worry when I left the house. It has more bonus features like bold brews and sel-cleaning so every cup is delicious.

Terrible lid to the carafe. Cheap and hard to open.

Coffee maker has nice options for brew strength, timed brew, and brew size. Glass carafe is easy to clean. The only design option I am not fond of is that lid snaps on and off instead of having hinges for closure, but it is functional.

New coffee maker has been designed with simple buttons that start or stop brewing precisely. Coffee is ready in a few minutes and delicious. It stays hot but does not overcook. The new sleek material of the coffee maker sets it apart from the previous models. It’s beautiful and easy to clean!
