This coffeepot replaced an older 12 cup model that I had for years! It had the same features with a modern look. I like the Cuisinart brand because it makes a perfect cup of coffee every time no matter what medium roast brand I use! I really love Dunkin medium blend in the morning; I make enough for 2 mugs! Ready tone does not work

Owned same coffee maker for over 2 years. Replaced it With Some problem. Ready tnew one. Ready tone didn't work. Returned it and got a new one. READY TONE DOES NOT WORK!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Makes excellent coffee (tastes better than that made with my older Cuisinart), looks attractive and seems well built. But it is difficult to pour water into the coffee maker without spillage (the top lid doesn't open far enough) and the lid to the carafe requires a difficult snap to get into place. Those latter annoyances prevent a 5-star rating.

I love our new coffee maker. It’s fast and makes good tasting coffee. Only thing I would improve on, is the end of cycle notice, is not loud enough. Our old coffee maker could be heard in the next room.
