A week after unboxing, the clean light went on. Descaled with vinegar per instructions, and a week later, the clean light is back on. Hoping this isn't a fatal flaw.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This little coffeemaker puts out a great cup of coffee and has tremendous flexibility regarding number of cups, bolder taste and hot plate temp. But most importantly at a great price. Only complaint is the coffee carafe drips too easily when you pour and its tough to get the last bit of water out when filling up the reservoir...minor issues. Dont let it stop you from buying

We've had multiple Cuisinart coffee makers over many years, and this model makes good coffee and keeps it hot. However the carafe always leaks when filling the water reservoir and also when filling cups. We can't recommend it, always needs a towel at hand.

Purchased this coffeemaker to replace a Cuisinart coffeemaker my wife and I received as a wedding gift 37 years ago. It still worked but decided to give away and buy a new one. Made a bit differently now but works just the same. Cuisinart has always been reliable for us.

This coffee maker makes great coffee! I like that it has a build in water filter system. I often use the Bold and the 1 to 4 cups settings when I brew coffee.
