Like the look of the stainless and the LED display. Also like the 14 cup capacity, which is great when having guests. The programmable auto-on is a great feature to have coffee ready when you get up in the morning! This is the 3rd Cuisinart coffee maker we’ve had over the course of several years. Other brands don’t last as long with the terribly hard water that we have. The automatic notification to clean the unit is very helpful to make them last longer, too.

The "Bold" setting is always nice—allowing the water to percolate through the shower head slower for a stronger cup—especially when the coffee filter is 3/4 full to allow for a full 12-14 cup pot (prevents the water from overflowing over the filter, down into the pot).
Only 4 stars since there is no option to turn off the bright blue key backlights that light up the entire kitchen at night.
Either allow for the lights to be turned off or use a lesser LED strength.

Bought this model to replace a Cuisinart 12 cup brewer that lasted forever. This model is terrific, easy to use & program. In the past, for a vacation home, we had purchased one that was operated completely from a touchscreen, which was a pain to use. Next step is to replace that one with this!

I have owned many of the inexpensive drip coffee machines and as an avid coffee drinker, I put them to use. The average life was 12 to 18 months. This time I decided to buy a better machine. My wife has several other Cuisinart appliances and is extremely happy with them. Most are used weekly and are over 10 years old. Still, they perform and look like new equipment. Time will tell on the drip machine but so far it makes a great cup of coffee. I highly recommend Cuisinart appliances for their construction quality, and sustainability.
