top does not go back far enough to empty all the water out of the carafe, notifying peep when coffee is finish brewing is next to impossible to hear. Should have a blinking light when brewing and solid when complete

This is an outstanding coffee brewing machine. Large, 14 cup carafe capacity. Programmable for brewing start time, and how long it stays warm (up to 4 hours).

Makes great tasting coffee, but has quirks

We just bought this to replace another coffee maker. The good is, it's a great looking machine! We ran an initial pot of just water through, like the directions suggested. When we went to brew a pot the next morning, we noticed an odd, plastic taste to the pot we brewed. That did disappear on the second pot, but maybe run two cycles of water only.
Filling the reservoir is a bit clumsy. Our last brewer we could remove the water reservoir, fill it and replace it without having to fill the pot, our the water (and clean up the spill). So not the most efficient design in that regard.
The coffee tastes great now, but we didn't realize that the Bold brew option has to be pressed Each Time You Brew! The last brewer at least remembered that we wanted bold each pot.
Lastly, the display is BRIGHT! It lights up half the kitchen at night. I only wish there were a way to dim the display.
It's a good machine, it makes great coffee, but it has its quirks.

This is my favorite coffee maker. I've given it for gifts and purchased it twice. The first one I literally used it to death. I stopped the K cups when I realized coffee tasted like brown water. Then pulled out old cuisnart and realized what good coffee at home could taste like. That's when I realized there was an updated model. So happy to be back grinding cofffee and making it the way I like it.
