Good coffee… But design flaws make it sloppy

I’ve owned many coffee makers over the last 40 years. And I generally like the Cuisinart. I recently had my old Cuisinart fusible links burn out, soap, I think I’m actually going to replace those and get that back up and running. This new Cuisinart wasn’t bad, but, There are some peculiar things with the design. Although it looks good. The place where you have to pour the water in is difficult to get to because the lid only goes back to a 90° angle. In other words it’s vertical, but it won’t go any farther back and it makes it difficult to pour the water in without getting it all over the place. What makes it worse is the Top that they have for the 14 Cup pot and the way it sits on the shape of the 14 cup pot I have noticed makes dripping and spilling water when trying to pour a serious problem. The steer the angle you’re trying to achieve while pouring, the more water that just gets out all over the place. Every single morning I am wiping up a puddle. These are design flaws… Because the pot is taller, the way the very top of the pot is shaped and the detail of the edge of the part where you pour from, and with the lid, it just doesn’t seem to work, right… I would probably look for a different model. I’m gonna keep this one as my back up for when I have lots of company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the second time I purchased this model. My previous one stopped working after almost seven years. Do I wish it lasted longer? Yes, but most things don’t seem to last as long as they used to. It makes great coffee, has many desirable features and is easy to use and clean.

The 14 cup Cuisinart coffeemaker is the best! Programmable brew time, warmer heat is adjustable, easy to clean. Water filter keeps water clean, "bold" setting makes coffee stronger if I want. 14 cup capacity gives me that extra cup...I need that since Im a "coffeeholic". This is the best coffeemaker Ive ever owned - first one was 4 years 9 month "old" before it quit, so the longest-lasting one too! I replaced it with another one ASAP!

Purchased this Cuisinart 14 Cup Coffee maker, and I pleased with its performance. We generally make 6 cups in the morning and it brews the coffee in a reasonable time. I do wish they made the lid to pour the water in would have tilted back further.

This is the second Cuisinart coffee pot I have purchased . I am happy with this product except for how the lid fits on the pot. My first product fit the same way but I hoped this fit would be better. Sadly it is not. There are many times the lid falls off when I pour a cup.
