I find the maker is hard to fill (to the last drop of the pot) the way the door opens. You really can’t tip the pot far enough to empty the pot of its tap water. Also the pot tends to drip when you pour a cup of coffee.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love this coffee maker and especially like the 14 cup carafe. A lot of the time, 12 cups just isn’t enough. This brews some some tasty coffee and is super user friendly taboot.

This is my second Cuisinart coffee maker, and while I really liked my last unit, I LOVE this one. My morning coffee is what starts my day, so needless to say, when it's enjoyable, it shapes my day. As Folgers' advertises, "The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup." Well, whether you choose Folgers or the world's most exotic coffee, without a fine-tuned machine to brew it, you might as well drink mud. The new Cuisinart brews excellence, and what I love the most are the new controls to set the time, hotness, turn-on time, and how long it should stay on. The simple one-push button for the programmed time is absolutely a terrific plus. The unit looks good with its chrome and black design, has excellent ergonomics, and starts my day in a positive way. Thank you Cuisinart!
