I bought this about a month ago when my boyfriend and I moved into our first apartment. I really enjoy all the settings it has. He gets up at 5:30 for work and I get up at 6:30. So I get to set the time to make coffee at 5:30, then it will keep it hot and fresh for 2 hours before turning off! I love waking up to fresh coffee everymorning. (My mind doesn’t function correctly before coffee) For example, I forgot to make coffee the night before one night so I brewed a pot in the morning without putting in the coffee! Point made.

replacement for another cuisinart that was several years old. brew time is acceptable. awesome for those who want a lot of coffee. . .I assume it works for smaller quantities but I always brew a full pot.

I bought this for my wife when we got tired of our Keurig leaking, breaking down, costing an arm and a leg, and brewing bad tasting coffee.
We also have a percolator coffee pot and to be honest this Cuisinart brews coffee that tastes just as good and is easier to clean. Seriously this is one great brewer! Also we bought the copper color which looks fantastic! You will not be disappointed with this machine!
