I bought this coffeemaker to replace a similar Cuisinart version that had lasted 13 years! The plastic components are not as heavy as my previous coffeemaker, but it makes great coffee and that is most important.

I've had several of this make and model over the years. Only one time was I disappointed-the warming plate didn't keep the coffee hot despite increasing the temperature on the coffeemaker. Otherwise, they're easy to fill, pour easily, do well in the diswasher, etc. Great product.

Not happy this coffeemaker turns off after 2 hrs. I usually have to reheat the coffee. I am the only one drinking coffee and can’t possibly finish it in 2 hrs. It would be wonderful if you could override the function

We've had several coffee makers over the past several years. Some were quite expensive but did not make as good a cup of coffee as promised. After a few years of faithful service by our inexpensive and just o.k."Mr. Wonderful", I decided to do some more research on finding the perfect match: a great coffee maker that would not cost a fortune.
After reading every review available, checking the materials used and all the features, we decided to try the Cuisinart 14 cup programmable coffeemaker. It was the best choice we could have made.
It is constructed well and all the features are easily displayed and used. It's easy to fill with the side window gauge accurately displaying the water level. The Bold Brew setting pours the hot water over the beans a little slower so all the flavor of the bean is extracted. This is not a gimmick, it really works (think Chemex). The warming plate's adjustable temperature and time is a great feature. No more burned or overheated coffee. We set our warming plate temp at low and the shut-off time at 20 minutes. It can be adjusted for hotter temps and up to 2 hours of heating. The coffee comes out really hot, not lukewarm and because of the numerous features we are enjoying consistently great cups of coffee. Seriously, with good beans you can rival any specialty coffee shop - right at home.
Overall, the Cuisinart 14 Cup Programmable Coffeemaker is a great machine, fairly priced.
