This product is defected. It is advertised as a 14 cup coffee maker. However, the overflow hole was placed too low and if you go over 12 cups of water, it pours out the back. Over the years, we have had several Cuisinart coffee makers because we like the coffee it produces. But, when you purchase a Cuisinart coffee maker, you purchase it with the understanding that it most likely will only last a couple of years.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love how fast it brews and it has a finished brewing signal to let you know your coffee is ready. I also enjoy the Bold button and pre-program button which allows you to set up your coffee the night before so it's ready when you get up. The look of stainless steel is nice, too. Very satisfied. The only other thing I would like to see on it is a way to dim the blue light at night. It's pretty bright.

My first coffee maker broke within 6 mo's but the warranty dept is amazing and after I answered a few questions, and tried a couple of their suggestions it was confirmed my coffee maker was eligible for replacement. They sent the new one and I have not had any problems so far.
