Worked for a month then began displaying an error code. Called company and was advised to unplug it for 15 minutes and then plug it back in. Error code will not go away so coffeemaker will now no longer work. Am now dealing with the hassle of getting a replacement through the company and the hoops they are making me go through. It looks great and brewed fabulous coffee but considering it only worked for a month, I would not buy again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Initially I purchased my Cuisinart to replace a Keurig. It was more compact and had the 1-4 cup option. Now I find myself making more coffee than was my habit because I just like brewing coffee with the Cuisinart. It is a very nice looking machine, easy to program, makes tasty coffee, and, at the top of my list - it slides easily on my counter top. I must move the Cuisinart each time I use it. The Keurig did not slide and I grumbled at having to lift and move the darn thing several times each time I brewed coffee. Thank you Cuisinart for making my day a little bit easier. The 4 stars are because I use significantly more coffee.

Our first Cuisinart brand coffeemaker and we are very happy with it so far. We have had Mr. Coffee brand coffeemakers for years. Our adult kids have an older Cuisinart Coffeemaker (over 5 years old), so when our latest Mr. Coffee quit unexpectedly, we switched brands. Although we have only had it a month or so, we are very happy with the ease of use and consistent results. We are now big fans of the flat coffee filters that you fold open. It seems to take a lot less coffee for us to get the same strength. We really love the hotter coffee, too. And we only have the hot plate set on medium heat. If it lasts as long as our kids', we couldn't be any happier.
