I really like every feature and it looks beautiful, but you have to totally remove the top of the carafe to fill it. It does not flip up. Not a big deal, but it would be more convenient.

One thing new is the VERY LOUD ready alarm that sounds five beeps to confirm that the coffee is brewed. Only two options: off or on; no way to turn down the alarm tone.

This is a great coffeemaker, particularly because it has a "bold" setting (I like strong coffee) and the ability to keep coffee hotter, using the "hot" carafe setting. Great buy.

Lots of features to like and good capacity for that morning pot, but this replaced an identical model that developed a leak from a flex tube to the heater. Couldn't find a receipt so couldn't process a warranty claim. The tube was so hard to access that I couldn't get it off to replace so ended up buying another. The purchase docs are in the manual just in case it happens again.
