Consumer Reports gives this coffeemaker the highest rating. I don't get where that came from. Compared to my previous Bunn-o-matic it is terrible. Very noisy, takes forever to brew, opening to pour water into is very narrow and difficult to pour entire contents out. Very plastic in construction.

We purchased this unit to replace a Mr. Coffee make that served us well except that we could make less than 8 cups of the 10 possible due to overflow of the grounds into the pot. The Cuisinart maker has lots of nice features that work very well but we find the same problem with this maker as the last. If we keep the amount of coffee made to less than 8 cups there is no problem. Make 8 or more and the grounds are plentiful in the pot. It may be that the grind is too fine, but we buy a favorite higher end blend already ground. A paper filter helps but still the same problem. We could grind it ourselves but would have to but a grinder (messy & expensive). A self imposed problem? Perhaps but shouldn't a grind meant for coffee makers (Givalia makes sells the same type of unit} Other than our coffee being chewy we really like this coffee maker.

Love this coffee pot. It has a 1-4 Cup feature that is what I use most days. I like the fact that I can program how long the warming plate stays hot and at what temperature, low, medium or high. The auto shut off gives an audio signal to alert you. It also has an audio signal when brewing is completed. All in all it's a great drip coffee maker.

This is my 3rd Cuisinart coffee maker and my 2nd of this model. Even though my last coffee maker of this model only last 3 and 1/2 years I still am drawn back to this model due to options and quality of the coffee that is makes. I do get questions about why not use a different brand that is proven to not expire in a few years but I always have to revert to the quality of the coffee that is brewed in this model. I like the brewing options and the overall design of the maker. Just as a heads up the failure my first maker experience was associated with the heating element for the pot. It appeared that the sensor to turn the pot heating element off failed to do so and it burnt itself up. I know this optimum heating feature is something that Cuisinart is proud of and it does work extremely well except the short than expected product life. I still love this coffee maker and will continue to buy one unless the product life gets even shorter.
