The Cuisinart 14-cup Programmable Coffee Maker is my first venture away from the traditional percolator. Prior to selection I studied Consumer Reports and individual consumer reviews and weighed the various observations against my own positive experience with a variety of this manufacturer’s small appliances. Of greatest concern to me: quality of brew, efficiency and dependability of appliance performance. I rate this Cuisinart coffee maker five stars in both criteria. I particularly like the flexibility of brew sizes. I have experienced none of the negatives I’ve read in some reviews.

Makes a great half pot if coffee. The pot is so big, and the filter basket small, so you can’t put enough grinds in to make a full pot. Otherwise, the coffee was great and hot!
