Works well as a basic coffee maker. I had a Cuisinart 12 cup maker/grinder for close to 10 years before it just gave up on me. Loved that coffee maker and this is a decent replacement for it (if it last as long). It has everything I'd expect of a coffee maker today - programmable, 1-4 cup setting, bold setting (which I find handy on those days I want a little extra kick to my cup). It works well, performs as advertised. Pouring the water into the machine could be easier - you have to pour into the back right corner and the flip lid can get in the way. The gauge on the side of the machine to let you know how much water you've put in it is nice, but unless you pull the machine away from the counter and turn it sideways, it's not in the best place for viewing. And finally, the carafe has that irritating habit of dribbling down the side and on to the counter/floor at times. But overall, it's a solid machine. I miss my old machine - maybe because I was so used to it and it made such a great cup of coffee, but this model is ok, and I'd recommend it to a friend, especially considering the price.

GREAT coffeemaker...It replaced same that just finally wore out and had started leaking out the bottom. I have been using this programmable coffeepot brand/type for many many years. Just the right size for morning coffee ready when I am and plenty to fill my Thermos for work!

It's a pretty good coffee maker but my old Delonghi machine was faster and water didn't drip down the back from the lid when you opened it.

Coffee tastes much better and hotter. Took me a little bit to figure it out but easy to use once you have it set up. It makes a growling type noise sometimes but I guess that’s normal.
