The 14-cup coffee maker is mostly a great product but has one glitch: the spring at the bottom of the coffee basket. When you remove the pot to pour, it is not reliably easy to put the pot back into the machine. The spring doesn’t “give” as it should and one has to manipulate the pot to get it back into its proper place. At best it’s annoying; worse; coffee can slosh over the spout and sizzle on the heat plate; worst, the pressure can push the basket up which stops the flow of coffee and can cause an overflow—a mess to clean up! Please, Cuisinart, find a more reliable spring!!

It’s a solid, few-frills coffee maker. The coffee tastes great. I just wish there was a “one cup” and/or iced coffee option. But I guess that would cost more. :-)

I love this coffee maker, specifically because the coffee comes out so HOT, this is my 3rd one of the same model. Only con is that sometimes they leak a little when you pour the water in....I can deal with that...Other than that I LOVE IT.

This is the second Cuisinart machine I have owned. The first one was similar to this model but with a 10 cup thermal carafe. I had that one about 4 yrs and worked fine but a little slow. Anyway, I thought it was about time for a new one and this model had top ratings. Brews the same fine coffee but much faster and hotter than the older one plus it will brew 14 cups when needed—my normal is 6 cups. What’s not to like?
