Purchased 2 months ago to repkace model DC 1200 I gained two more cups in coffee capacity, but and no change in quality coffee. Biggest improvements are the time, and progamable brew time. Adjusting the warming plate tempurature is a big plus. I unwaveringly endorse.

Wanted a good coffee maker and it is. We use the strainer that comes with it and have not used paper filters I bought to use with it yet. You'll get some sediment in bottom of pot [we use Folgers] but no grounds. Maybe papers would eliminate that. No remarks on Programing as we don't use it. Makes good coffee.

I bought a Braun nice machine but made lousy coffee . I bought the cuisinart because you can adjust the coffee strength. Looks good and easy to use. I like the fact that you can take the lid off the pot to fill the machine.
