We hadn't had a do coffeemaker for awhile and used the pod system. With the expense and the landfill issue, we decided to try a drip again. This makes good coffee and can make 14 cups. It uses Melitta filters which give better taste than the Mr. Coffee type, in my opinion. The timer and auto-off are easy to use and give you good control, so it's pretty much "set and forget." I also like that the warmer is adjustable. We have to keep it on the lowest setting or else the coffee starts to get that "oil change shop" smell. My advice is only make what you can drink in the first 45 minutes
On that note, I wish you could get a thermal carafe for this coffeemaker. They only sell them for the 12 cup.

I bought this a month ago to replace my old Cuisinart. Love that I can make 14 cups at a time but it does take quite a while for it to brew. I like that I can set the strength of the brew and it keeps it hot for up to four hours.
